The sacred Alamo stands within the very heart of the business district of San Antonio. It was erected in 1718 by Franciscan Monks and was originally the Chapel of the Mission of San Antonio de Valera. It was within the Alamo's walls on March 6, 1836, that Travis, Bonham, Bowie, Crockett, and 177 unsung heroes gave their lives in defense of texas liberty. This antique, unposted postcard is likely from the 1920s and is in great vintage condition. Measures approximately 5" W x 3.5" T.
